Experienced Event Planning & Management, with a Personal Approach.

I’ve spent more than 25 years creating, producing and managing events — from intimate private dinners and celebrations to large-scale occasions for hundreds of guests.

My career began in London’s art world, where I spent many years working with some of the city’s most respected cultural institutions before becoming Head of Special Events at Sotheby’s. There, I was responsible for producing an extraordinary range of events for international clients, from major dinners and parties to exhibitions, launches and large-scale cultural occasions.

Earlier in my career, I also worked with the Royal Academy of Arts, the Serpentine Gallery and the BBC, experiences that taught me to combine creativity with the precision, discretion and organisation that exceptional events demand.

Today, I’m based in the Cotswolds, where I run Clare Harris Events, planning and managing private celebrations, weddings and corporate events across the Cotswolds, Oxfordshire and London.

Recent projects have included the full coordination of a 500-guest launch for an Indian auction house in London and a 200-person Cotswolds wedding, alongside private parties, dinners and celebrations of very different scales.

MY APPROACH

I believe the best events feel effortless.

Behind that apparent ease is meticulous planning, careful organisation and someone who is thinking several steps ahead. I take care of the details, the logistics and the people involved, bringing together trusted suppliers and making sure everything works seamlessly from the first idea to the final guest leaving.

I’m equally comfortable developing an event from scratch, taking over an existing plan or being brought in to manage the final stages and make sure everything comes together on the day.

For me, it’s about understanding what matters to each client and creating an event that feels genuinely theirs — rather than following a formula.

FROM LONDON TO THE COTSWOLDS

​

After many years working in London, I returned to the Cotswolds, where I grew up.

It’s a wonderful place to create events: beautiful private homes, country estates, barns, gardens and distinctive venues, all within easy reach of London and Oxford.

I now work across the Cotswolds, Oxfordshire and London, as well as further afield when an event calls for it.
